⚡🇵🇰 The Federal cabinet has approved the establishment of the Area Representative and Development Council (ARDC) for 12 districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, along with the nomination of 48 local elders for an initial six-month term.
Shaukat Ullah Khan has been named chairman of the council, while Malik Khan Marjan will serve as vice-chairman. The nominations were finalized through district-level jirgas and local consultations.
The initiative aims to restore peace and order, enhance citizen protection, improve administrative functioning, and ensure the participation of local elders in development efforts. A separate secretariat has also been ordered to handle administrative structures and development-related matters in the concerned areas.
